A New Kind of Craft Festival In Maryland

Columbia, MD – Something special is brewing in Maryland. The Brewers Association of Maryland, in partnership with the Hops & Harvest Festival, proudly announces the debut of Wanderland, a one-of-a-kind craft beverage experience set for Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the picturesque Symphony Woods at Merriweather Park in Columbia, Maryland.
Festival Mashup
Wanderland is a mashup between the Hops & Harvest Festival, and the Baltimore Craft Beer Festival. The Hops & Harvest Festival has been an annual event held in Columbia, Maryland, typically each October at Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods. Its focus was on celebrating Maryland’s craft beverage culture, with offerings from local breweries, cideries, wineries, and distilleries, alongside live entertainment, artisan vendors, and food from the region. The inaugural Hops & Harvest Festival took place in October 2016 at the Columbia Lakefront.
Baltimore Craft Beer Festival was first held in October 2015 at Canton Waterfront Park, this inaugural event was organized by the Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM) to spotlight the explosion of local craft brew culture. Subsequent events saw the event moved to November and the 2024 event venue was moved from Canton to Port Covington.
Final Thoughts
Final thoughts! I pun perhaps but when it comes to beer festivals, maybe not. We will have to wait and see if this event becomes a new annual tradition for beer festivals in Maryland. Festivals have been having a difficult time across the Country in particularly in Maryland. Recent festivals that have have been canceled are the BAM Love Thy Beer held in February, The St. Michaels Brew Fest (after 10 years), the Easton Beer Festival, and now the Baltimore Craft Beer Festival.
